गिरकर आसमान तक is Veerendra Jagadale's first Hindi novel, developed from an original screenplay in Hindi that he wrote during his years at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Like the English novel When We Fell Upward, it expands that original screenplay into a fuller literary world, allowing its characters, relationships, and emotional conflicts to unfold beyond the boundaries of the screen. Through the journeys of four central characters, the novel explores love, friendship, class divides, guilt, ambition, and forgiveness across several decades and two countries.
